Biography
Jessica Claire Biel is an American actress who first shot to fame on the long running WB (now CW) family drama "Seventh Heaven" at the age of fourteen. Since then she's gone on to appear in a wide variety of films including "Ulee's Gold" with Peter Fonda, "Blade: Trinity", the 2003 horror remake "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "Elizabethtown" with Jude Law and "I Know Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" with Adam Sandler. Known for her model good looks and sex appeal, Biel has also done numerous modeling and photoshoots for men's magazines like Maxim.
Biel was born on March 3, 1982 in Ely Minnesota. Her family lived a nomadic lifestyle, travelling extensivly until settling in Boulder Colorado where Biel appeared in several local musical productions. Discovered at the age of 12 in Los Angeles at a modeling conference, Biel started her professional career appearing in print advertising and commericals. At the age of 14 she was cast as oldest daughter Mary Camden on the WB's hit series "Seventh Heaven". This role helped propel Biel into feature films and budding stardom. After leaving the series following the conclusion of it's sixth season Biel has made a career of feature work and been cast in an assortment of films ranging from comedy to more dramatic fare such as "The Illusionist" with Edward Norton.
Biel has several projects in the works. One of which (the drama "Powder Blue" due to be released in 2009) has recieved much publicity and speculation as Biel will be playing a stripper who appears fully nude in several scenes. Biel also wrapped up shooting recently on David O. Russell's political satire "Nailed" co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal in which Biel plays a women who has a nail lodged in her head who takes on the health care industry in Washington.
